According to bilingualism expert Ellen Bialystok, children aged 2 to 5 are in the prime period for language acquisition due to the brain’s high plasticity. During this stage, they can easily absorb and understand language, with remarkable abilities to grasp sounds, vocabulary, and grammar. Providing a rich language environment at this age supports not only native language development but also the natural acquisition of a second language, laying a strong foundation for future language and cognitive growth.
